Rescue recovery tactical medicine
(closed source course)
This course is designed for officers in training and sworn members seeking to develop (or refresh) tactical medicine skill sets.
Through structured stress inoculation activities, this program prepares recruits and sworn members to operate confidently and effectively during medical and trauma emergencies in environments of potential high risk and/or threat.
You will learn skills and gain confidence in managing catastrophic bleeding using tourniquets and wound packing, as well as how to respond to other life-threatening injuries.
Gain the skills and confidence to respond and perform medically under pressure in the immediate absence of trained health professionals.
The skills taught are tailored specifically for frontline operational members who have a genuine interest in being prepared, both in and out of uniform.

Group bookings for squads or stations can be arranged by submitting a general enquiry online or calling one of our team.
If officers currently undertaking training would prefer their squad to complete the training as a group, this can also be facilitated. Simply send our team an enquiry online or call one of our SHM staff. Minimum 8 students required.

To be eligible for this course, students must be current law enforcement officers, protective service officers, police custody officers or actively undertaking training (e.g., recruit) who have completed their AAO training package.
Students must hold a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid) completed within the past 24 months.
All required documentation must be provided at least 72 hours prior to course attendance. Failure to provide documentation by this time may result in removal from the course and/or no formal issue of qualifications.
